A gente te ajuda. 🇦🇺 Many people think the PR process is just “study and wait”. In reality, four factors change everything: English level, actual demand for your occupation, the region you choose, and your Australian work experience. When you combine these with the right strategy, your pathway to PR becomes clearer (and faster). Want to understand the best route for your case? We’re here to help.

The passport is the official identification document during an exchange in Australia. However, to avoid possible loss, damage or other problems related to registration while in the country, students can issue an identity card to use in everyday situations, such as proof of age.

Each Australian state has its own expedition system, so it is necessary for the exchange student to apply at the place of residence. See below where to apply and the requirements of the main regions:

New South Wales

You will need

  • Application form;
  • Original passport;
  • Another original document that shows your full name and address, such as a bank letter, proof of school enrollment or school ID card;
  • Payment of AUD $54 for five years or AUD $96 for 10 years.

To apply:

Victoria

You will need:

To apply:

  • Fill in the "Application for a Proof of Age card" form.
  • Gather and bring the necessary original documents;
  • Sign the applicant's declaration in the presence of an authorized person. The authorized person will check the two documents you have provided as proof of identity and then complete and sign the 'Authorised person's declaration';
  • Go to a authorized agency to take a photograph (some small agencies require you to provide your own photo), fill in the application form and pay the application fee. Take your identification documents with you, as the person from the agency is also obliged to check your documents and also sign the application form where indicated.
